At The Creative Bar, we believe remarkable talent, enthusiasm, and creative thinking add up to great work. We are seeking a skilled and creative Web Designer to join our dynamic creative team. In the Web Designer role, you will play a pivotal role in creating eye-catching functional designs for a wide variety of clients using creative and software engineering/programs to design, build and improve websites. They should understand user experience and be able to build websites that are easy to understand, navigate, and use, and adhere to design standards and specifications. The ideal candidate is someone who is eager to sharpen their web design skills, enjoys creative problem solving, and thrives in a team environment.

Not just for getting along with everyone during company retreats, monthly office barbeques, and the occasional drink after work, but you will work closely with the executive, accounts, and design teams to understand each client’s industry, products/services, branding, and marketing goals while maintaining clear and open lines of communication between the two.

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualizing creative ideas with the Creative Director
• Testing and improving the design of the website.
• Maintaining the appearance of websites by enforcing content standards.
• Designing visual imagery for websites and ensuring that they are in line with branding for clients.
• Communicating design ideas using user flows, process flows, site maps, and wireframes.
• Incorporating functionalities and features into websites.
• Manage your time across multiple projects while adhering to project deadlines
• Collaborate with colleagues, superiors, and members of the organization outside of your team in order to improve designs
• Collaborates with other team members to develop compelling models and environments
• Ensures and maintains a positive environment with team members

Skills:

• Strong communication abilities to interact with colleagues and clients
• Excellent eye for design and intimate understanding of design and web elements
• Proficient in WordPress
• Proficiency in Adobe Dreamweaver and other web design programs a plus
• CSS, HTML, PHP and Java coding skills
• Basic database administration skills for MySQL, Access and SQL
• Expert-level understanding of Flash and ActionScript for programming
• Familiarity with SEO principles
• Excellent multimedia content development abilities
• Experience with Adobe design software (e.g., Photoshop)
• Understanding of UX/UI (user experience/user interface) design
• 2-4 Years of web design experience at design agency or studio
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines and incorporate feedback intelligently
• Ability to think and respond quickly, while maintaining attention to detail
• Highly self-motivated and proactive

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 2-4 years of professional Web Design experience
• Stellar online portfolio/samples of previous design projects
• Art degree or equivalent work experience
• Exceptional artistic and creative problem-solving skills
• Familiar with Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience in Graphic Design a Plus!

This is a full-time (40 hours/week) position and you will be required to work in our Murrieta, CA location two set days per week following our hybrid remote schedule.
