Creative Manager is responsible for managing all phases of creative development work from concept to completion. Oversees the creation of art, photo, copy, and layout for creative projects. Being a Creative Manager implements policies and standards that reinforce the organization's branding strategy and quality goals. Manages and develops a team of designers, copywriters, project managers and vendors. Additionally, Creative Manager leads the development of creative briefs and utilizes design methodologies that meet the business objectives and timelines of the organization and stakeholders. Evaluates and adopts the most effective tools and techniques across all media. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Creative Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Creative Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     About the Role

    Are you an experienced writer and public relations professional with a combination of creativity, passion, integrity, and technical skills who is looking to become part of a dynamic marketing team?

    If so, our agency is growing and we have an opportunity that you should consider. As a Communications and Media Relations Specialist with Miranda Creative you will be responsible for developing and executing communication plans that build strong media relations and elevate our clients' brands.

    You'll also be a content writing whiz, working closely with our digital team and brand managers to create compelling copy for a variety of purposes including web and social content, blogs, newsletters, press releases and other written content.

    With respect to the public relations aspects of this position, you will be tasked with cultivating and managing relationships with journalists, editors and influencers across various media platforms to secure placements for our clients.

    You will also develop and pitch newsworthy stories about our clients, crafting compelling press releases and media kits.

    You will monitor and analyze media coverage to measure it's impact on brand sentiment and client objectives. And you will regularly collaborate with the marketing team to integrate PR efforts seamlessly into broader marketing campaigns.

    Miranda Creative is presently supports a hybrid work environment, but you will be expected to spend time in our office in Norwich on a regular basis (typically at least one or two days per week), and may be required to meet in person with clients and media contacts periodically.

    You will be asked to submit current writing samples and professional references as part of our application process. Compensation for this position is commensurate with experience.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
    • A minimum of 2 to 4 years of directly related experience, preferably in a marketing or advertising agency setting.
    • Proven track record of securing media placements for clients across various media platforms.
    • Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to craft clear, concise, and engaging content in a variety of formats.
    • Strong research skills to gather necessary information and generate unique and well-supported content.
    • Strong knowledge of SEO principles and best practices to optimize content for search engines.
    • Proficiency in using content management systems (CMS) and social media platforms.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and adapt to changing priorities.
    • Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills.
    • A portfolio of previous work that demonstrates versatility in writing style and ability to adapt to different industries.
