    To create an environment that is conducive to excellent world-class service provided to members of the Credit Union by leading a group of employees in a branch atmosphere to best meet the financial needs of the community. Digitally focused leaders committed to training and coaching staff on not only the ease and use of digital channels and services, but also the technology being utilized at the branches themselves, always promoting the greatest member experience possible. Responsible for hiring, coaching, and developing long-lasting employees, while instilling a great work ethic that contributes to the success of the branch and its production goals. Ambitious individual that implements fun into the everyday workplace, all while guiding a group of learners, problem solvers, and team players.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Other duties may be assigned.
    • Assumes responsibility for the effective and efficient performance of branch operations.
      • Provides a pleasant branch atmosphere that is reflective of a sound and secure financial institution with the ultimate respect for members’ privacy and confidentiality.
      • Ensures operations are conducted in accordance with established organizational policies and with legal and regulatory requirements.
      • Monitors branch operations and audits to ensure a safe and sound operational, working environment for all branch employees.
      • Assists the branch employees with teller transactions, new accounts, and member service requests, as may be required from time to time.
    • Assumes responsibility for maintaining proper cash controls.
      • Ensures all branch transactions are balanced at the close of each day.
      • Oversees individual accountability for the handling of cash and assists Tellers in resolving balancing problems.
      • Periodically verifies cash in possession of Tellers and cash on the premises.
      • Evaluates cash needs at branch for buying and selling to the FED, keeping balances to a minimum.
    • Effectively coaches branch staff, ensuring optimal performance.
      • Coaches and develops a team of employees with the skill sets to cross sell Neighborhood Credit Union products to members that best fulfill their financial needs.
      • Creates an educational environment for members and employees alike that teaches the efficiency and effectiveness of digital channels as well as the technology that is used at branches to serve members with their transactional needs.
      • Provides regular “touch points” with individual employees to monitor progress and conducts Performance Evaluations annually. Formulates and implements corrective actions as needed. Recommends promotions and further leadership training for employees as appropriate.
      • Communicates effectively with branch employees about any changes in policies or procedures and certifies their knowledge and understanding.
    • Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective, professional business relations within the organization, with members, and in the community.
      • Embraces the culture of the branch community through consistent involvement in local events and partnerships.
      • Effectively communicates with upper management the status, successes, challenges, and regular updates of their individual branch.
      • Ensures Neighborhood Credit Union’s quality reputation is maintained and projected.
      • Ensures both internal and external requests and questions are promptly resolved.
    • Assumes responsibility for the effective administration of branch functions.
      • Utilizes branch specific reports to track and promote branch production and goals to further create all- encompassing, fruitful relationships with the members.
      • Constantly evaluates the productivity of their individual branch and creatively assesses opportunities to grow branch profitability by analyzing data; recognizes how their branch fits into the bigger picture of the organization.
      • Maintains awareness of rates and services of competing organizations in their surrounding communities and strives to consistently be aware of and generate new strategies to make Neighborhood Credit Union the best in the marketplace.
      • Ensures proper maintenance and general housekeeping of the building, grounds, work areas, desks, and equipment is carried out.

    Knowledge and Experience

    • Education/Certification
      • High school graduate or equivalent.
    • Required Knowledge
      • Knowledge of basic word processing, spreadsheet applications and understanding of credit union products and services as they are different from other financial institutions.
    • Experience Required
      • One to two years of related experience.
    • Skills/Abilities
      • Excellent communication and public relations skills.
      • Ability to analyze accounts.
      • Attentive to detail.
      • Well organized.
      • Ability to assist others.
      • Able to use 10-key, PC, teller terminal, telephone, card machine, and all related business equipment.
