Credit Analysis Manager develops and implements procedures for analyzing the creditworthiness of prospective and current customers. Manages a group of credit analysts and approves requests for credit extensions based on analyst recommendations. Being a Credit Analysis Manager may personally handle larger/more complex accounts. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Credit Analysis Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Credit Analysis Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.     Position Summary:  

    This is an entry level position and further training will be required. The job is to maintain existing loans, board new loans, manage loan exceptions, train as a back-up to the loan processors, assist with various softwares, and any other duties of the credit department.  You will be responsible for learning and mastering our software system and looking for efficiencies along the way.  The job will entail conversing with employees by email, software systems, and telephone.

       Branch Credit/Ownership (80%)

    • Assist with loan boarding.
    • Work loan maintenance and various email requests.
    • Verify information loaded in the core for new loans boarded previous day.
    • Verify information in the core for loan maintenance performed previous day.
    • Provide support to other employees in a professional and respectable manner.
    • Clearly communicate time off with backup and management so loan loading is not affected.
    • Assist in resolving any administrative/operational/credit questions or problems.
    • Answer calls and emails from employees in a timely manner.
    • You must have the ability to always maintain confidentiality. You will be exposed to confidential information and must not discuss bank business with non-employees and only with employees on a need-to-know basis.
    • Ensure bank is in compliance with federal banking regulations including, but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, Community Reinvestment Act, American with Disabilities Act, Right to Financial Privacy Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, the Federal Reserve’s “lettered” regulations, and Retail Credit Specialist roles and responsibilities relating to each act.

     

     

       Customer Service (10%)

    • Represent Guaranty Bank & Trust Company professionally, efficiently, and tactfully
    • Acknowledge and greet customers with a smile, call customer by their name, ask if they need any additional assistance, thank customer at end of every conversation
    • Ensure continuing development of professional relationships with management and colleagues. 
      • Follow all bank policies and procedures
      • Answer and assist incoming callers with questions and requests; subsequently route callers, as appropriate.
      • Receive incoming bank visitors and assist in directing them appropriately.

       

    Additional Functions-Secondary Responsibilities and Accountabilities (10%)

    • Provide assistance to other departments as needed.
    • Perform other duties that may be assigned and requested.

     

    Position Qualifications

       Education:       Required – High School Diploma or equivalent.

    Preferred – Post –secondary certificate or degree, experience will be considered.

    Experience:     Required – 1 to 2 years of experience in banking or a related area.

    Preferred – 3 to 5 years of experience in banking or a related area.
