Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

Full-time / Permanent / Onsite based in San Francisco

Zero Emissions Industries is looking for a seasoned financial analyst to work with us at our South San Francisco office. In addition to creating new procedures, establishing reporting standards, and helping us achieve our financial goals. You’ll also get to mentor junior members of our team as you manage the finance team.

*This position is only open to candidates with current US work authorization without restriction or sponsorship. Relocation to the San Francisco Bay Area is required.

What you’ll do:

• As the senior finance expert within the organization your work will cover a wide range of areas. Day to day you’ll find your duties fall, broadly, into two categories: FP&A (70-80%) and GAAP Accounting (20-30%).
• The right candidate will become a trusted advisor to the executive team, helping them make informed decisions on the direction and future of the company.
• Oversee all aspects of financial accounting, including financial procedures and controls, financial period close, financial statement preparation and analysis as well as all required tax filings
• Oversee all banking relationships, including cash management

What you know:

• Expert level experience overseeing financial reporting and accounting best practice for small (20 - 60 FTE) startups.
• Strong background in GAAP accounting practices.
• Reporting standards for state and federal contract/grant compliance
• Deep understanding of which data is most essential for business planning, and how best to present that information.
• How to grow and develop junior members of a finance organization.

• Expected base salary $160 - 190K based on experience.
