    Summary:

    Goldschmitt and Associates is seeking a Verifying Official ID Card Operator to work onsite at Presidio of Monterey, DLI, CA. 


    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Control and issue identification tags and Geneva Convention Cards to military members, deploy civilian employees and other eligible recipients
    • Screen Soldiers, family members, and dependents for purpose of visit
    • Brief Soldiers and family members on policies and procedures
    • Maintain the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) and the Real-Time Automated Identification System (RAPIDS)
    • Perform all ID Card and CAC issuance-related tasks including research and review of source documents, verification of eligibility, and discussion of entitlements as defined in AFI 36-3026(I) and the RAPIDS Training Guide
    • Issue memorandums of authorization for use of Commissary and Post Exchange to eligible customers, as well as Government ID Cards (DA Form 1602) to eligible Government employees
    • Perform routine maintenance on computers and printers, i.e., change ribbons, add toner and developer, clean printers, etc.
    • Revise and print correspondence in the proper format under applicable regulations and guidelines and prepare weekly and monthly reports of work and work activities


    Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

    • The ability to work at an accelerated pace.
    • Proficient in English, both written and oral.
    • Proven customer service skills.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Possess at least one year of experience in a customer service environment, preferably in a Human Resources related position
    • Possess the ability to pass a NACI background investigation and obtain a CACard
    • Possess United States citizenship
    • Possess proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook, plus Adobe Acrobat 6.0 and Internet Explorer 7 or above.
    • Possess proficiency in the use of basic office equipment such as computers, copiers, fax machines, scanners.
    • Possess the ability to successfully complete RAPIDS certification within seven business days after being hired
    • Possess the ability to type 25 words per minute


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Possess previous CAC or similar Government contract employment experience
    • Possess familiarity with the military
