Job Description:

• Perform in-depth AML investigations involving the analysis of transaction data, examination of customer information, and research through open-source and media checks.
• Collaborate effectively with Quality Assurance reviewers, incorporating feedback into the investigative process.
• Provide recommendations based on thorough research for either filing Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) or determining no need for SAR.
• Prepare detailed investigative documentation, including comprehensive case notes and well-supported decisions and recommendations.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of transactional data to identify patterns indicative of suspicious activity, fraudulent transactions, and potential money laundering.
• Retrieve transactional records from the bank system and conduct thorough internal and external research on customers to gather relevant information.
• Investigate findings to determine the appropriate course of action, whether to close the case or escalate it for further review and potential suspicious activity reporting (SAR). Draft comprehensive SAR narratives to document findings.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of hands-on experience performing AML investigations work in a bank or financial institution, demonstrating a strong understanding of the regulatory landscape.
• Possess good analytical skills to effectively identify and assess patterns of potential money laundering or fraudulent activities.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
