The position requires a senior, highly self-motivated, commercially pragmatic, business developer with strong influencing and negotiating skills to partner with internal and external stakeholders. The Card Portfolio Director will rely upon experience in various parts of the card industry - from building a best-in- class card product with key features and relevant loyalty and rewards to delivering the product in the hands of customers.

    This position also focuses on:

    • Build and lead all aspects of developing and executing card products - from product go- to-market, rewards program operations, design improvements, vendor management, and product delivery (both retail and business card lines). Project manage end-to-end process of creating, developing, and operating this product in partnership with relevant internal and external stakeholders.

    • Source, structure and negotiate deals with existing and new partners in pursuit of product and business objectives. Ensure effective management of external partnerships including processors/networks, sponsor card program (MC/Visa), credit card associations, processing systems, credit reporting agencies, and others. Develops working relationships with risk team and subject matter experts in program policies, practices, systems, and governing rules and regulations.
    • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies that align with credit union growth goals. Collaborate across the credit union leadership teams to maintain alignment on vision, strategy, and performance to goals. With an entrepreneurial mindset, leveraging critical and analytical thinking to increase the value proposition leading to growth.
    • Report on performance metrics. Effectively manage data analytics, and 3rd party tools for internal and external program insight and opportunities.
    • Develop working relationships with risk team and subject matter experts in program policies, practices, systems, and governing rules and regulations.
    • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Follows established company policies and procedures, including but not limited to: Sarbanes Oxley controls, Business Ethics and Standard of Conduct, Electronic Communications, Confidentiality and Privacy.

    EXPERIENCE: Eight years to 10 years of similar or related experience.

    EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: A college degree.

    INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: The ability to motivate or influence internal or external senior level professionals is a critical part of the job, requiring a significant level of influence and trust. Obtaining cooperation and agreement on important outcomes via frequently complex, senior level dialogues, as well as a professional level of written communication skills are essential to the position.

    OTHER SKILLS: Several years of experience designing relevant loyalty programs associated with cards. • Credit Card Experience at a mid-sized growing bank/credit union or fin-tech credit card organization. • Thrives on a high level of autonomy and responsibility. • Detail oriented and structured thinker who finds ways to unblock challenging problems. • Great commercial and product instincts. • Proven quantitative skills and a data-driven approach to decision making. • Effective communicator. • Self-starter, driven for action and a sense of urgency to get things done. • Thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments.

    Full Time Position

    Compensation Range: $69,889 - $102,861

    Eligibility for employment is dependent on bondability, background and credit check.
