Position Summary

This position is responsible for development and execution of product portfolio strategies generating growth and profitability for the business.  Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, this person will be performing Product Management for the entire Oneida, TN product portfolio (hose and belts), new product development, and business development in relevant distribution channels.  We are looking for a talented individual with previous experience in a commercial role, ideally in product line management with an understanding of distribution sales.  Our ideal candidate will have experience in assessing markets, developing strategies and understanding industry competition.  They will also be a strong relationship builder and work to implement projects and programs by working with and through the responsible manufacturing departments. This is a remote role; however, we prefer the ideal candidate to reside in the Central or Eastern U.S. Region.   

 Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a growth strategy for both belt and hose product portfolios manufactured in Oneida, TN. Develop and maintain knowledge of technologies, competitive environment/products, and market trends to develop and set long term product strategy.
• Establish and manage pricing strategies to maximize product value, margin potential and profitability. 
• Lead product development process for NPD projects in Oneida to ensure all customer needs and technical requirements are met.
• Work with Oneida manufacturing to set inventory levels for stock products and assist with disposition of E&O materials.
• Work with marketing communications to develop an effective mix of promotional strategies and training materials for assigned product portfolios for both internal and external customers.
• Effectively partner with sales to develop key customer targets and manage the opportunity sales pipeline for sales conversions and sustainable business growth. 
• Interact with Operations, Sales, R&D, Supply Chain, and Procurement to ensure sales goals are achieved.

Skills and Experience

• BS/BA in sales, engineering, business administration, or similar field
• Proven working experience as a Product Mgr., Business Dev. Mgr., Sales or other relevant role
• Advanced level of proficiency in MS Office 
• Market knowledge in industrial hose and belts preferred
• Communication and negotiation skills 
• Must be able to travel up to 60% to Oneida facility and customer locations
