Role Summary/Purpose
The Senior Vice President, Credit and Product Engineering is an experienced technology executive who thrives when leading a large team of engineers and architects to design, build and support mission critical applications across all layers of the credit tech stack. To be successful in this role you must be an excellent strategic leader of people with deep expertise in software engineering, microservice architecture, point of sale integrations, message queues, and reliability engineering for mission critical financial/banking applications.
This leader will drive the engineering strategy across broad stakeholders in the company for our most critical engineering initiatives like DevOps, code quality improvement initiatives and be a key leader for our software development communities of practice.

Essential Responsibilities:
Drive engineering strategy across all credit stakeholders
Lead a large team of software engineers, reliability engineers and solution architects (~52 employees and ~320 contractors)
Manage a ~$22MM operating budget including employee and vendor costs
Drive execution of a ~$12MM agile program spend budget across all Credit and Product initiatives
Influence and collaborate with cross functional SVP leaders to enable agile teams and trains to be successful.
Develop and lead the strategy to ensure applications are meeting client SLAs and internal availability and performance expectations
Direct the HR strategy to recruit, retain, and grow top engineering talent
Lead future state technology architectural strategy, along with our application modernization and migration roadmap.
Mentor, coach and influence all levels of the team: in this role, you will have the opportunity to influence up and down the chain of command
Ensure application code quality through development, test, and QA
Lead the team in addressing root cause analyses, incident reports and provide direction in problem resolution
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
10 years of experience with software engineering
8 years in engineering banking systems
7 years people management experience

Grade/Level: 15
The salary range for this position is 200,000.00 - 330,000.00 USD Annual. This position is also eligible for an Annual Incentive Plan target of 25% of salary and an Annual Equity target of 25% of salary.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle
Eligibility Requirements:

You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
