Being a Credit Clerk communicates with the customers and other departments to solve the credit problems. May negotiate terms of payment to assist with collection of overdue balances. Additionally, Credit Clerk requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Credit Clerk possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the lending process, reviewing credit data to evaluate commercial loan requests and informing the application approval/denial process.

Key Responsibilities:
- Review credit data to evaluate commercial loan requests.
- Inform the loan application approval/denial process.
- Analyse financial information from various sources.
- Determine viability and risk associated with loan applications.
- Assist in achieving the organization’s lending goals.
- Support budgeting and managing lending systems.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures.
