Credit Clerk evaluates and suggests creditworthiness of prospects and customers to decrease financial risk to the organization. Checks credit applications and grants approval within established guidelines for organizations or individuals. Being a Credit Clerk communicates with the customers and other departments to solve the credit problems. May negotiate terms of payment to assist with collection of overdue balances. Additionally, Credit Clerk requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Credit Clerk possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.     Penske Logistics is looking for a Lead Warehouse clerk to become part of an excellent team. Provides support and some supervision to regular and temporary warehouse associate functions. Works closely with Operations Supervisors to ensure employee productivity expectations are met. Provides a variety of responsibilities to meet the supervisors expectations.

    Work Schedule: Monday - Friday Hours : 2:00PM - 10:00PM

    Major Responsibilities:

    Lead for a small group (8-10) of hourly associates in a cross-dock warehouse environment. Monitor day to day operations for compliance to establish safety and logistics procedures. Resolve issues on a first line basis. Communicate daily work assignments to all shift associates as well as route management control compliances. Daily interaction with forklift drivers. Assist operations supervisor with daily tasks. Communicate performance standards that are specific and measurable (KPI’s). Monitor workforce attendance.

    Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

    Qualifications:

    • 2 years of general office experience required

    • 1 year of customer service experience required

    • High School diploma or equivalent required

    • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required

    • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

    • Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening.
