Being a Credit Clerk, Sr. communicates with the customers and other departments to solve the credit problems. May negotiate terms of payment to assist with collection of overdue balances. Additionally, Credit Clerk, Sr. requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Credit Clerk, Sr. works under moderate supervision.   • Summary: Assist and support lenders in acquiring and compiling needed information for credit analysis and credit approval packages. Input financial information into excel spreadsheet and loan management system software.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Performs analysis of financial statements, cashflows, and pricing analysis
    • Understand and evaluate key components of the financial analysis process including the “5 C’s of Credit” (character, capacity, capital, collateral, and conditions)
    • Learn and understand bank policies in relation to credit requests
    • Prepares presentation materials for new and additional credit proposals
    • Perform other duties within the branch, special projects and research as needed.
    • Proficiency with Excel and Word

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
