The Credit Analyst will be responsible for analyzing current credit data and financial statements of individuals or firms to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money. Prepare reports with this credit information for use in decision-making.
DUTIES
• Collect and analyze financial data to help identify the degree of risk associated with requested loans.
• Track compliance with loan agreement covenants on significant relationships.
• Accurately spread financial information utilizing credit analysis software.
• Prepare written credit analyses to be presented at loan committee.
• Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly management reports.
• Read, analyze and interpret financial statements and tax returns.
• Work independently and manage multiple tasks.
It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within their capabilities as determined by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required.
Prior credit analysis experience preferred
Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data required.
Excellent written and verbal skills required.
Proficiency with computers and MS Office software required.
