Credit & Collections Clerk covers all aspects of customer collections and credit processing with emphasis on accuracy and efficiency. These activities include working knowledge of ensuring the Accounts Receivable aging is within customer credit terms, researching discrepancies and developing strong professional customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

· Contacting customers regarding past due invoices either by telephone, email or Vendor Portals.

· Researching and resolving account discrepancies

· Maintaining records regarding payments and account statuses

· Obtaining information from other internal departments to ensure records are accurate and complete and that accounts receivable ledgers are up to date

· Generating reports and statements on a case by case request

· Other job functions as may be requested by the Accounts Receivable manager or upper Management.

Key Competencies:

· Attention to accuracy and detail is essential to the position

· Ability to analyze issues and have the skills to solve problems efficiently

· Excellent computer skills including expertise in Excel

· General knowledge of JD Edwards ERP system

· Must be able to work independently and with individuals from multiple disciplines and with varying levels of experience

Position Requirements:

• Education and training: High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Associates degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• Related experience: Minimum of 2 years experience.
• Business to business experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of accounts receivable
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Display a positive attitude, with a willingness to learn and grow
• Ability to work independently or in teams to solve problems or implement improvements
