Position Summary
The Credit Administration Support provides technical, administrative, and clerical support within the Credit Administration Department. Works with department management in the facilitation of portfolio monitoring, concentration analysis, and board reporting. In addition, assists in various aspects of the credit underwriting thru the Quality Assurance process and the Appraisal Desk. Specific responsibilities include the preparation of various portfolio and concentration reports, large borrower analysis and adherence to lending policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform a wide variety of tasks associated with analytical, administrative, and clerical support within the Department. Particular focus on portfolio monitoring, concentration analysis and large borrower analysis.
- Prepare various reports and presentations reflecting the Bank's credit quality and loan portfolio for Executive Management and Board of Directors.
- Spread and/or analyze financial statements for loans and relationships reviewed and monitored by QA, utilizing the Bank’s accepted analytical credit criteria. Assist in determining borrower relationships’ global financial analysis. Perform legal lending limit analysis as outlined in the regulations.
- Assist in reporting and monitoring of large borrower relationships.
- Assist in coordination of, and recording minutes for Loan Committee. Track loans approved at Loan Committee and for borrowers with aggregate loans in excess of $4 million.
- Assist with the process to research, develop, revise, and recommend lending policies and procedures to management while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct, research, and perform various types of analyses as requested by Management, Accounting, and/or regulatory agencies.
- Assist the Appraisal Desk in the administrative duties for obtaining real estate valuations, to include appraisals, appraisal review, In-House Evaluations, and In-House Evaluation reviews.
- Review reports related to environmental risk review and provide recommendation to Environmental Risk Officer.
- Maintain loan data integrity on Core by working with the Loan Servicing, Compliance, and Lending departments.
- Maintain accuracy of the bank’s Asset Quality Rating system for accounts assigned to Credit Administration. Ensure loan and customer information is accurate on the Bank’s core system.
- Prepare and maintain required documentation for loan portfolio risk rating code designations.
- Assist in audit and regulatory compliance functions.
- Complete online, written and in-person compliance training within established timeframes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other related field.
Experience
- Five years of experience directly related to the functions of the position, or equivalent work experience in the areas of commercial and consumer lending, real estate, accounting and/or collateral preservation.
- Equivalent combination of education and related work experience in loan production, loan servicing, or loan documentation may be considered.
- Related military education/experience may be used as a substitute for education or work experience.
Knowledge & Communication Skills
- Understanding of accounting concepts relating to loans, loan collection, non-performing and non-accrual loans, troubled debt restructures, etc.
- Ability to use various personal computer software packages necessary to manipulate databases, perform queries, and prepare reports.
- Strong technical writing, verbal presentation, and customer service skills.
- Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, employees, and customers.
- Must understand and have the ability to implement applicable compliance requirements.
Analytical & Decision Making Skills
- High level of analytical skill to perform the level of analysis required in producing reports to Senior Management and the Board.
- Ability to complete work assignments without specific instructions and close supervision. Latitude for independent action in setting objectives and deciding how to proceed is given.
- Work is complex. Use logic and reasoning to analyze loan relationships and credit information. Superior analytical and problem solving skills required to assist in monitoring of risk within loan portfolio. Must be a critical thinker, detail oriented, and have the ability to develop and implement plans.
- Must be professional, productive, innovative, and self-motivated.
Computer/Software/Other Equipment Skills
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to operate standard office equipment such as PC, printer, fax/copier, and telephone.
