CREDIT RISK MANAGER develops and implements policies and procedures that reduce credit risk for a financial institution. Manages the building of financial models that predict credit risk exposure to the organization. Being a CREDIT RISK MANAGER oversees the preparation of performance reports for management. May require a master's degree. Additionally, CREDIT RISK MANAGER typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The CREDIT RISK MANAGER manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year accredited college or university with major coursework in risk management or related field; or a minimum of 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience including significant experience in safety management. A Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP) certification is a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to police jury members and public groups
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages and ratios.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
The incumbent must possess a Valid State Driver’s License. Having a Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP) certification is a plus.
