Manages the building of financial models that predict credit risk exposure to the organization. Being a CREDIT RISK MANAGER oversees the preparation of performance reports for management. Credit Rating Criteria (Country Risk and Quantitative Analysis) – There will be an introduction to BCAR Models, BCAR related Criteria Documents, Economic Scenario Generator (ESG) Output & Documentation, Country Risk Data Sources (Prioritize EMEA/Europe), Bloomberg, IMF, in depth examination of the Global BCAR model parameters and Central Bank Resources, etc. Additional projects included.

We are currently looking for ten (10) college students to participate in the AM Best Hybrid Summer Internship Program. Through this program, students will have the opportunity to apply, refine, and build upon what they learned in the classroom while working alongside AM Best’s professionals. It will be a great opportunity for students to obtain on-the-job experience while gaining clarity about a career choice.
We will offer targeted insurance industry training during this program to ensure that all interns will have a general understanding of the insurance industry and the importance of AM Best in the industry. All interns will receive this training irrespective if they are working in the ratings area or elsewhere in the company. The goal is to educate the interns, so that when they complete their internship they are able to articulate what they learned during their internship to prospective employers.
External candidates, friends and immediate family members of AM Best employees are eligible for the internship program. Immediate family members may not work in the same department as their family member.
The Hybrid Summer Internship Program begins on June 3, 2024 and ends on July 26, 2024 (you must be available to work during this period). Interns will be expected to work a minimum of two days in the office and the business hours will be from 8:30am to 4:30pm (Monday through Friday) with a 45-minute lunch break. The hourly rate will be $18/hour.
