About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Credit Risk Officer to collaborate with Home Lending Servicing Risk Strategy, Operations, and Technology teams to implement complex Home Lending Collections score model and risk strategies and enhance Collection production process controls and documentation to comply with internal and external requirements. This individual will partner with decision platform vendor and Technology teams to build the foundation to migrate Home Lending Corporate Risk business processes from a legacy Mainframe environment to a Cloud solution.
In this role, you will:
Advise senior leadership to develop and implement strategies, programs and policies with a direct and significant impact on credit risk appetite
Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges to drive the company credit culture, appetite, and business performance requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or companywide
Deliver solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking, and coordination of highly complex activities and guidance to others
Monitor, assess and report on asset quality, portfolio trends and credit policy exception trends
Approve credit transactions and participate in acquisition due diligence
Approve and provide credible challenge of line of business credit products, programs, and policies
Provide vision, direction and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Interact with internal and external customers
Collaborate with business for oversight of risk management
Interact with Audit, Legal, external agencies, and regulatory bodies on risk related topics
Required Qualifications, US:
7 years of Credit Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
7 years of SAS and/or SQL programming experience
7 years of strategy and/or score model implementation experience
10 years of TRIAD Decision Engine and Blaze coding experience
Production execution experience in a Linux and/or Mainframe environment
Outstanding problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise independent judgment to identify and resolve problems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Adept at translating technical output into business language
