- The Dougherty County Tax & Tag Department has a vacancy for a Senior Tax Clerk (Tax Collections).Employee in this position is responsible for, but not limited to: preparing tax bills, Fieri Facias (Fi. Fa’s), levy notices, correspondences, and other documents for mailing or filing with Clerk of Court. Collects and enters data into the Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) program related to ad valorem taxes, fees, and other documentation. Employee is responsible for the collection of taxes and accountable for a cash drawer.High school diploma and completion of one (1) year of college education or specialized advanced training in office machines, computer applications, or a closely related field with two (2) years of advanced clerical and/or cashiering experience or any equivalent related combination of education, training and experience which will provide the knowledge, skill, and ability to perform the duties of the position. Must have the ability to code and enter data accurately into the computer. Should have the ability to organize workload in order to meet required deadlines and have the ability to deal with the public in adverse situations.
