Credit and Collections Director leads the overall credit function. Designs and implements processes to improve cash flow and reduce receivables. Being a Credit and Collections Director develops policies regarding the investigation of customers, extension of credit lines, and collections. Consults with current and future clients regarding their level of credit. Additionally, Credit and Collections Director oversees the negotiation and course of action taken for overdue accounts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Credit and Collections Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. CREDIT ANALYST
The Credit Analyst will support the business banking team by utilizing Sageworks to input financials, prepare cash flow and credit analysis reports. The Credit Analyst should be able to independently analyze and help underwrite new and existing credit requests submitted by the lenders. The Analyst should have a working knowledge of reading tax returns and financial documents. Must be able to craft well written credit memos and provide feedback to upper management on market conditions and customer issues in local area (strengths and weaknesses of competition, gains and losses of business, comments both positive and negative, etc.)
Qualifications: Strong understanding of loan risk, along with the ability to gather, analyze and summarize complex data and make recommendations. Excellent written and verbal skills along with advanced Excel experience. Must possess a minimum of 2 years' experience in a credit analyst role or have previous commercial credit underwriting experience.
Salary commensurate with experience. Our headquarters is located in Kenbridge VA, but this full-time role will allow for a flexible work location and a hybrid work schedule.
