Credit and Collections Director leads the overall credit function. Designs and implements processes to improve cash flow and reduce receivables. Being a Credit and Collections Director develops policies regarding the investigation of customers, extension of credit lines, and collections. Consults with current and future clients regarding their level of credit. Additionally, Credit and Collections Director oversees the negotiation and course of action taken for overdue accounts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Credit and Collections Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Credit and Collections Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Nesco Resource is currently hiring a Collections Representative for a premier employer in the Montoursville, PA area. This is an entry level position that service and contact customers who are in a delinquent account status by negotiating and collecting payments. This role also supports customers who are experiencing various account management issues including; future payments, vehicle repairs and lease assumptions. Candidate will utilize exemplary customer service skills while discussing past due payments and payment options. Must be resilient and have an ability to deal with difficult customers without feeling personally attacked.
Functions:- Collect past due amounts from assigned portfolios and collection queues
- Conduct follow up calls and maintain documentedeffort to have customers follow through with commitments
- Verify and validate customer information
- Collaborate with other departments and report activities based on negotiated and collection results
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior exposure to collection activities
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic computer skills with an ability to type 30 wpm
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Bilingual in Spanish a must
Hours: Must be available between 8:30am to 7:00pm Monday to Friday and 9:00am to 2:00pm on Saturdays. Once trained, will work Friday and Saturday on a rotation basis.
