Credit and Collections Director leads the overall credit function. Designs and implements processes to improve cash flow and reduce receivables. Being a Credit and Collections Director develops policies regarding the investigation of customers, extension of credit lines, and collections. Consults with current and future clients regarding their level of credit. Additionally, Credit and Collections Director oversees the negotiation and course of action taken for overdue accounts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Credit and Collections Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Credit and Collections Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     Accountabilities:
    Assist with collections moves including transporting University Museums (UM) collections between LMA and PAG, and to/from offsite storage.

    Assist with loading and unloading trucks.

    Assist with couriering UM collections including shipments between LMA and PAG, and to/from offsite storage, as required.

    Assist with preparation, packing, and shipping of collections.

    Assist with inspection and documentation of objects entering and leaving the museums, including but not limited to incoming/outgoing loan forms, insurance, and transit agreements.

    Assist with barcoding museum collections and with tracking collections through barcodes.

    Assist with maintaining accurate storage records.

    Participate in inventory audits; helps identify works requiring conservation treatment.

    Assist with coordination of subcontracted art handlers and transportation staff.

    Assist with requests for access to collections from faculty and researchers, including pulling and transporting objects from storage to classrooms and exhibitions, as required.

    Professional Experience/Qualifications
    Must be comfortable with exposure to heights (ladders).
    Must be actively licensed to drive in any of the United States or the District of Columbia, and such license must have been valid for a minimum of one (1) year.
    Travel to the University Museums offsite storage facilities required.
    Preferred Qualifications
    Working knowledge of a wide range of packing materials & methods (slipcases, shadow boxes, crating, travel-framing, cavity packing) and ability to discern the most appropriate method per object.

    Knowledge of and ability to execute safe handling, wrapping and packing of artworks for a variety of shipping methods.
