Credit and Collections Manager develops and administers credit and collection programs. Oversees investigation of credit risk in customers and suppliers and advises on course of action for credit applications. Being a Credit and Collections Manager designs and implements processes to improve cash flow and reduce receivables. Monitors and negotiates the collection of overdue accounts. Additionally, Credit and Collections Manager monitors credit and collection processes and operations; makes recommendations on opportunities for improvement. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Credit and Collections Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Credit and Collections Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Job DescriptionJack Links is looking for a Credit Analyst to support our Sales Finance area in our Minong, WI facility.
This is not a remote position. In office Monday thru Thursday, work from home on Fridays.The Credit Analyst ensures that all funds owed Jack Link s Protein Snacks by assigned customers are collected and accounted for properly and accurately according to company procedures as well as complete additional administrative duties as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIESThe responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:
Monitor a portfolio of accounts, conducting daily calls to various past due customers, including the collection of funds owed, in a B2B environmentReconciliation of payment deductions; process payments, credits and refundsResearch account variances and provide resolution to billing and misapplied payment issuesValidation of promotional sales activitiesProcess reclamation requestsUpdate SAP with payment statusPrepare weekly reports on account status for the Manager, Credit and Accounts ReceivablesMonitor customer order activities, accounts receivable and payment history on a daily basis to identify risk and ensure adherence to credit termsEscalate key issues to Credit Manager, Sales and Leadership of potential credit risks in portfolio to determine next plan of actionRecord retention to support audit controlsCollaborates and problem solves with key members of the organization s Finance and Sales teamsProvide support to internal and external customersMaintains confidentiality and uses utmost discretion with matters including but not limited to personal and or financial information in the duties of the positionPerforms other duties and responsibilities as necessaryQualifications
Required Education:
Two-year Associate or Technical degree in Accounting, Business Management, Business Administration or related degree or equivalent
Required Experience:
Two years related work experience in an accounting or Accounts Receivable role preferably supporting sales
Strong attention to detail while working accurately and independently in compliance with company procedures and audit controlsDemonstrate analytical skills including the ability to perform mathematical calculations related to accounting and reconciliation activities requiredAccurate data entry skillsStrong listening and communication skills, including the ability to understand and effectively carry out and communicate verbal and written instructionsEffective communication skills and demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal team members, business stakeholders and externally with customers and brokersAbility to demonstrate effective account management, problem solving, presentation, and team member motivational skillsAbility to apply sound judgement and discretion in performing duties while interpreting company policies with audit controlsAbility to work a flexible, set schedule, Monday through FridayProficient in internet navigation, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookPreferred:
