Credit and Collections Manager develops and administers credit and collection programs. Oversees investigation of credit risk in customers and suppliers and advises on course of action for credit applications. Being a Credit and Collections Manager designs and implements processes to improve cash flow and reduce receivables. Monitors and negotiates the collection of overdue accounts. Additionally, Credit and Collections Manager monitors credit and collection processes and operations; makes recommendations on opportunities for improvement. Requires a bachelor's degree. Responsible for providing a variety of clerical and secretarial support to Solutions personnel including maintaining departmental records and files, answering, greeting, and directing telephone calls and visitors, and typing Solutions documents as assigned. Processes incoming garnishments and levies and completes miscellaneous assignments as requested.
1. Assumes responsibility for the effective performance of all assigned secretarial and clerical functions.
a Acts as a receptionist and receives, screens, or directs visitors and telephone calls. Answers routine questions and provides general information.
b. Performs a variety of typing duties including correspondence, reports, and small claims paperwork.
c. Performs filing and related record keeping duties. Maintains the repossession log book and reports repossessions to the Credit Bureau. Logs all returned checks forwarded to the Solutions Department for handling.
d. Performs processing functions as assigned. Receives and processes all incoming garnishments and IRS levies. Processes small claims paperwork as directed by collectors.
e. Processes collection documents for imaging.
