Credit and Collections Manager develops and administers credit and collection programs. Oversees investigation of credit risk in customers and suppliers and advises on course of action for credit applications. Being a Credit and Collections Manager designs and implements processes to improve cash flow and reduce receivables. Monitors and negotiates the collection of overdue accounts. Additionally, Credit and Collections Manager monitors credit and collection processes and operations; makes recommendations on opportunities for improvement. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Credit and Collections Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. As a leader as on the Finance team, this role is accountable for the personnel, processes, systems, and policies that manage Hussmann’s Credit and & Collections function. The objective of this role is to deliver the metrics and projects assigned to our DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), working capital, cash flow, bad debt, and aging targets.
This Supervisor will lead by example, with a team-player mindset, and drive accountability with each team member. As a member of the Finance leadership team this role will partner with other functional area leaders to drive and disseminate the company's strategic initiatives and goals. Ensuring that the team is providing quality service to both internal and external customers will be key as this role will interact with Business Unit Controllers, Billing, Sales, Accounting, and the Hussmann Executive Leadership Team.
