Credit and Collections Supervisor jobs in Buffalo, NY

Position Summary

Collect payment on past due accounts by reviewing customer aging timely, maintain the credit hold spreadsheet and customer notes in the Get Paid system, and assist with customer disputes/refunds as needed. Business to business collections.

Objective

Responsible for monitoring and maintaining assigned portfolio of customer accounts.

Provide customer service regarding collection issues, process and review account adjustments, resolve client discrepancies, short payments, and unapplied/unknown payments.

Major Roles & Responsibilities

• Contact/respond to clients via telephone and email, on a daily basis to ensure payments are made in full and on time
• Send payment information timely to supervisor for payments made from customers
• Enforce BV Credit Hold Policy
• Maintain BV Lab databases with updated client information
• Account reconciliation as needed to include use of Excel, Word and Flex/JDE
• Research and resolve miscellaneous cash receipts
• Coordination for customer refunds
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager

• Strong Organization and Communication Skills
• JD Edwards experience is a plus
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, high pressure environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong computer MS Office
• Possess knowledge of the department’s office procedures and equipment
• Ability to grasp and retain knowledge of new systems, processes and equipment
• Detail oriented, strong problem solving skills
• Ability to handle confidential information

Experience and Educational Background Required for the Job

• High School Degree or equivalent with at least 2 years relevant Collections experience

Compensation Range: $19 - 22 hourly (e.g., the job posting is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, and actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as locations, education, experience, and skillset).
