Salary Range:  $55k - $70k

Summary of Job Duties

The Credit & Collections Supervisor will work in the corporate office and support a group of home services operations in multiple states. The Credit & Collections Supervisor will contribute to the overall success of the organization by maintaining receivable and collection records, providing financial information and analyses as well as supporting general ledger accounting for revenue and receivables.  The Credit & Collections Supervisor will help ensure that policies and procedures are being followed and adequate controls are in place.

Duties

• Oversee, coordinate and execute customer credit, financing and collection activities.
• Hire, train, coordinate and supervise the staff that process financing inquiries and address collection of customer receivables.
• Work with multiple business functions to ensure effective execution of areas of responsibility and maximize revenue realization.
• Set targets for, monitor and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) around function performance and exceptions.
• Identify opportunities to improve process / systems effectiveness and work across functional teams to execute improvements and the ability to scale.
• Recruit, hire, train, develop and evaluate credit & collections team members.
• Create and monitor performance against department’s operational budget.
• Support accounting and operations functions by answering questions and providing analyses by researching and interpreting data.
• Execute month end close procedures and reconciliations as well as other recurring accounting processes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements

• B.S. Degree in Finance or Accounting, a plus
• 5 years in credit & collections “hands-on” experience with a retail service business – ideally in the home services industry.
• Familiar with high volume large dollar service retail transaction environment
• Familiar with multiple payment stream (cash, financing, credit card) processing
• Proficient in use of software applications and MS Office (especially Excel)
• Possess effective technical knowledge related to work assignments
• Excellent organizational, problem solving, critical/analytical thinking, written and oral communication, interpersonal negotiation and computer skills
• Demonstrate understanding and proper application of accounting fundamentals
