Under the direction of the Supervising Lottery Agent, Fresno Region, the incumbent conducts complex and sensitive administrative, civil and criminal investigations and other law enforcement activities for the California State Lottery (Lottery) with direct or minimal supervision. This position also provides technical advice to local, state and federal law enforcement agencies to assure the integrity, honesty, and fairness in the operation of the Lottery, pursuant to Penal Code 830.3(p). Incumbent may work alone, as part of an investigative team, or as a lead person, and coordinate the work of other enforcement staff. Incumbents must communicate effectively orally and in writing; read and interpret various codified laws, rules, and regulations.

This position is headquartered at the Fresno Region and is eligible for either a remote-based or office-based telework schedule. Employees must be able to report to their assigned headquarters office as needed. Travel expense to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee. Eligibility for telework requires employee residence in California per California Government Code Section 14200 which states: “telecommuting means the partial or total substitution of computers or telecommunication technologies, or both, for the commute to work by employees residing in California.
