Sher Edling seeks an experienced investigator to join our mission-driven team dedicated to protecting people and the planet.  Successful candidates for this position will have experience with archival research, public records and/or litigation discovery document requests, identifying and approaching potential sources of useful perspective, knowledge, and information, effectively curating and organizing sensitive information, and writing compelling narratives in a high stake, complex, and fast-paced work environment.

Our investigator will be highly organized, familiar with security protocols in storing and sharing information, and comfortable collaborating with litigation, administrative, and communications teams.  While previous litigation-related experience is preferred, it is not required.  Candidates with relevant experience in journalism, government, advocacy, and academia are encouraged to apply. Candidates should have a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience, a demonstrated commitment to the firm’s mission of “protecting people and the planet,” and the ability to travel as needed to perform their duties.
