Our Regional Medical Center is a Level I Cardiac and Level II Stroke center, with a Level III trauma designation, and a commitment to continuous reinvestment in state-of-the-art technology.Job DescriptionDescription Provides, promotes, and supports a professional environment that utilizes effective delegation of responsibility. Assists and supports managers in achieving department goals. Collaborates with ancillary departments to achieve care goals. Reports to Chief Nursing Officer.Cardiovascular Thoracic Unit (CVTU) - CVTU is a 12 bed unit. Provides care for patients requiring or having previously had surgery on the organ of the thoracic cavity, including heart, lungs or the great vessels. Other patients requiring ICU, cardiac monitoring or other nursing services are admitted as beds are available. Intensive Care Unit (ICU) - Provides care for critically ill patients and consists of but not limited to cardiac monitoring, ventilation support, vasopressin drugs, and thrombolytic agents. The population includes patients requiring intense surgical, cardiac, respiratory, trauma, neuro, and unstable hemodynamic care. This is a 13 bed unit.Cardiac Catheterization Lab – Three cath lab rooms and 5 bay recovery area. Provides diagnostic procedures and interventional cardiac procedures:• Impella• IABP• Angiojet• Pericardiocentesis• Diagnostic and Interventional peripheral procedures utilizing Atherectomy• Stents• Thrombectomy devices• Carotid Stenting• Abdominal Aortic Aneurism repair endovascular procedure• Vena cava filter placement and removal; G-Tube placement• CRM devices implantation including pacemakers• AICD & BICD• EP studies including ablations• Cardioversion• Tilt tablesQualificationsQualificationsWashington State RN License, experience preferred. Three to five years experience as a head nurse or staff nurse in which administrative and supervisory ability has been demonstrated is preferred.
