GRINDING MACHINE OPERATOR

Automation Personnel Services is looking for a hard-working Grinding Machine Operator for a fabrication shop in Kodak, TN.

In this role, you will primarily be responsible for inspecting and measuring work pieces to ensure that surfaces and dimensions meet specifications, files or finishes surfaces of work pieces, using prescribed hand tools. Pay Rate

$15.00 per hour plus a $.50 increase at successful 90-day probationary period. Schedule and Hours

Monday through Friday, 7 : 00am-3 : 30pm Grinding Machine Operator Duties and Responsibilities

• Dress grinding wheels, according to specifications.
• Inspects feels, and measure work pieces to ensure that surfaces and dimensions meet specifications.
• Sets up and operates grinding or polishing machines to grind metal work pieces such as dies, parts, and tools.
• Removes finished work pieces from machines and places them in boxes or on racks; set aside pieces that are defective
• Performs basic maintenance, such as cleaning and lubricating machine parts.
• Computes numbers, widths, and angles of cutting tools, micrometers, scales, and gauges, and adjusts tools to produce specified cuts.

Grinding Machine Operator Qualifications and Requirements

• 1-2 years related manufacturing experience
• Read tape measure to 1 / 16th ((in office lift assessment will be conducted)
• Work from verbal and written instructions; perform basic math and understand units of measure; ability to read CAD drawings, blueprints, and or manufacturing orders for operating parameters.
• Lift up to 50lbs (in office lift assessment will be conducted)
• Background check and drug screen required
