Curriculum Manager manages the design and development of training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners. Oversees skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Being a Curriculum Manager consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. Develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks. Additionally, Curriculum Manager provides outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs. Participates in the selection of software or collaboration tools used for training. Establishes metrics used to evaluate training effectiveness and analyzes outcomes to determine ROI and recommend changes to programs. May select and manage vendors that provide training materials or conduct training. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. Curriculum & Instruction Specialist in various counties throughout New York
SSO is seeking qualified Curriculum and Instruction Specialists to support the social and emotional needs of students, staff, and families in NYC nonpublic schools.
Curriculum and Instruction Specialists will provide direct services to students as well as consultation, training, and coaching for school staff and families to support individual, school, and community needs.
The Curriculum and Instruction Specialists will ensure equal access to core curriculum for all students by addressing social, emotional, mental, and behavioral health needs and by improving the overall school climate and culture.
The Curriculum and Instruction Specialists will develop and assist school staff to implement inclusive and targeted mental health and behavioral interventions, and an integrated social emotional instruction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

EXPERIENCE
Experience working with children who are at-risk or have emotional / social / behavioral needs is required.Experience in school counseling, school social work, or related field is preferred.
Specialized knowledge, training or experience working with interventions and instructional strategies designed to accelerate student growth and address social emotional wellness is preferred.
Experience in the training and coaching of staff is preferred.Experience working with a variety of interventions, working in a MTSS environment and progress monitoring / data is preferred.
Experience in Social Emotional Learning, Mental and Behavioral Health interventions, and / or Trauma Informed Practices is preferred.
LICENSES AND EDUDCATION
Master’s degree in Education, School Counseling, Social Work or related field preferred.Must be a licensed OR certified New York State Teacher, School Counselor, Social Worker, or Mental Health Counselor.
Compensation
Compensation for roles at Staffing Solutions Organization LLC (SSO) varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
As required by applicable law, SSO provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role : $40-60 per hour. In addition, SSO provides a range of benefits for this role.
