Curriculum Manager manages the design and development of training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners. Oversees skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Being a Curriculum Manager consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. Develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks. Additionally, Curriculum Manager provides outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs. Participates in the selection of software or collaboration tools used for training. Establishes metrics used to evaluate training effectiveness and analyzes outcomes to determine ROI and recommend changes to programs. May select and manage vendors that provide training materials or conduct training. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Curriculum Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Curriculum Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities - The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Correspond via email and telephone with potential and existing guests, maintaining warm, friendly and professional demeanor at all times.
    • Write weekly Front Of House schedule
    • Update & organize POS with specials, counts & 86’d items as needed on food & beverage menu.
    • Maintain the statutory local authority Food Hygiene Certifications
    • Help facilitate distribution and setup of catered food deliveries from start to finish, including but not limited to, fielding inquiries, completing guest order forms & distributing catering sheets to kitchen.
    • Serve as lead contact with delivery services, cultivating this vendor relationship.
    • Manage an inventory of catering & onsite disposable supplies, placing bi-weekly orders with suppliers.
    • Takes a proactive approach to facility maintenance, and leads the way when solving problems.
    • Manage an inventory of beer, wine, liquor, food & onsite disposable supplies, placing bi-weekly orders as needed with suppliers.
    • Helps with duties of other employees (i.e. server, food runner, counter, POS, bartender, busser etc.) when necessary because of an unexpected absence or extra volume. Will also have to work the above positions in slower seasons or off peak times.
    • Has a strong understanding of company background and philosophy.
    • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
    • Help create menus and signage for all aspects of the restaurant.
    • Work closely with staff to maintain understanding and knowledge of all offerings as they change seasonally.
    • Exercise punctuality in all daily operations, meetings, site visits and events.
    • Work alongside of the entirety of the Shalhoob team—FOH/BOH managers and hourly team members—and always maintain a positive, professional and team-oriented demeanor while in the restaurant space.
    • Assist in housekeeping tasks when asked and follow direction.
    • Adhere to all Company policies, procedures and practices including health & safety, and loss prevention.
    • Any other duties as assigned by upper management.
    Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)

    • High School Diploma or GED graduate.
    • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
    • Ability to provide exceptional guest service.
    • Strong communication and follow through skills; confident on telephone.
    • Willingness to maintain a clean, healthy and safe working environment.
    • Ability to learn and use company computer to input data.
    • Ability to coordinate multiple activities with attention to detail.
    • High organization skills and a penchant for time management.
    • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
    • Must be Serv Safe certified with 90 days of hire.

    Physical Demands and Work Environment

    • Ability to be flexible with schedule and attend events as needed. This may be AM, PM, weekends or holidays, when needed.
    • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Tasting and smelling abilities are required occasionally to distinguish with a degree of accuracy, differences or similarities in intensity or quality of flavors and/or odors.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, raw proteins and hot liquids. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
