Conducts skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Being a Curriculum Specialist consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. Develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks. Additionally, Curriculum Specialist writes and edits outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs. Evaluates the software or collaboration tools to be selected for training. Establishes metrics to use to evaluate training effectiveness. May collaborate with vendors that provide training materials or conduct training. May coach trainers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Job Profile Summary
Assures that residents receive training sufficient to meet and exceed the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education Program Requirements for the residency program at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto, California. Such training occurs during specialized didactic presentations, during rotation and longitudinally during outpatient precepting. As appropriate, the training is also integrated into rotations in various disciplines. Issues are regularly addressed within the context of the resident's outpatient practice within the relevant and appropriate model of patient care. Additional duties that fall under this position are administrative support for the program to support its mission and goals.
