Curriculum Specialist, Sr. jobs in Columbus, OH

All About Kids is seeking a Curriculum Specialist that provides technical assistance to teachers as they implement The Creative Curriculum. This individual will spend twenty hours in a classroom to help with implementation of studies, covering classrooms, and providing breaks as needed. The additional twenty hours will be spent outside of the classroom preparing curriculum and assisting with program responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities of Curriculum Specialist:

• Assist teachers by training and educating them on The Creative Curriculum and how to write lesson plans
• Type lesson plans for teachers to post outside of their classroom and input into tadpoles on a weekly or monthly basis
• Assist with implementation of curriculum as needed
• Provide a list of supplies needed to implement curriculum to program director as needed
• Participate in daily walk-throughs to assist teachers in the execution of their lesson plans
• Create new bulletin boards in the common areas of the building, and staff break room no less than every three months
• Design a slideshow for the lobby monthly
• Build tour folders as needed for the front lobby
• Answer phones as needed
• Assist in classrooms as needed
• Assess and manage daily report system
• Greet parents and children when arriving and leaving the building

Qualifications for Curriculum Specialist:

• Knowledgeable about The Creative Curriculum
• Energetic and enjoys working with children
• Reliable and timely
• Works well with others
• Willing to drive a bus is preferred
• Experience as a childcare teacher is required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
