Curriculum Specialist, Sr. designs and develops training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners. Conducts skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Being a Curriculum Specialist, Sr. consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. Develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks. Additionally, Curriculum Specialist, Sr. writes and edits outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs. Evaluates the software or collaboration tools to be selected for training. Establishes metrics to use to evaluate training effectiveness. May collaborate with vendors that provide training materials or conduct training. May coach trainers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Curriculum Specialist, Sr. work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters.     The role is part of the In-Space Systems business unit, which is focused on development, manufacturing, and operation of satellite systems to address one of the most compelling challenges in spaceflight today: space mobility. As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, and engineers you will own significant scopes of electrical integration and test efforts for space vehicles. This includes integrating electrical subsystems into the spacecraft, the assembly of Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE), and execution of system level functional test in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Responsibilities:

    • Test of the Spacecraft Flight and non-flight hardware, software, and Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE)
    • Assemble and troubleshoot Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE)
    • Write, authorize, and execute Electrical Test procedures
    • Assemble and troubleshoot an integrated Spacecraft
    • Configure Spacecraft and Support Equipment for test events
    • Support integrated Spacecraft testing
    • Participate in daily floor activities including harness integration, workmanship test of the spacecraft harnesses, and functional testing of the spacecraft system
    • Work closely with Lead Test Engineer and Systems Engineering to review test cases, review test data, review hazard analysis, author work orders, and resolve spacecraft workmanship defects
    • Ability to work on elevated platforms and enclosed spaces with appropriate PPE

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Extensive knowledge and practical experience in several of the following areas:

    • Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of technical experience, Master's Degree plus 0 years of technical experience OR High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (G.E.D) plus 8 years of technical experience.
    • Experience testing a Space Program or Missile Defense Program production hardware
    • Experience assembling a Space Program or Missile Defense Program production hardware
    • Possesses a working knowledge of Radio-Frequency (RF) instrumentation, digital acquisition systems, and fundamental understanding of electrical Instrumentation commonly used on Space/Military hardware
    • Experience troubleshooting integrated vehicle or major sub-assembly electrical issues, such as ground loops, coupled voltages, shorted electrical signals, and broken electrical circuits.
    • On the job experience using electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, network/spectrum analyzers, rf power meters, electronic load banks, power supplies, and break out boxes to capture electrical signals
    • Working knowledge of electrical signal preservation techniques
    • Familiarity troubleshooting high speed serial interface protocols such as TCP/IP, SPACEWIRE, LVDS, RS422/485, and 1553
    • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
    • Self-motivated and able to effectively work in small teams
    • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

    • 10 years of spacecraft electrical test experience
    • Experience integrating spacecraft harnessing
