Custom Tailor develops, designs, makes, and repairs tailored garments. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Custom Tailor is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Additionally, Custom Tailor performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager. - Perform alterations and repairs on various types of garments
- Take precise measurements to ensure accurate fittings
- Sew, hem, and adjust clothing as per customer requirements
- Operate and maintain sewing machines and other tailoring tools
- Provide expert advice on garment fit and styling
- Uphold high standards of quality and craftsmanship in all tailoring workSkills:
- Proficiency in fashion retail and garment construction techniques
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Expertise in sewing by hand and using sewing machines
- Knowledge of different fabrics, patterns, and garment stylesJoin our team as a Tailor and showcase your talent in creating perfectly tailored garments for our valued customers.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.60 - $22.40 per hour
