Custom Tailor develops, designs, makes, and repairs tailored garments. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Custom Tailor is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Additionally, Custom Tailor performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager. We are looking for a skilled Tailor who is able to make any adjustments necessary to clothing. The ideal candidate has previous experience tailoring military or emergency services uniforms, casual clothing and/or accessories. A successful Tailor will be detail-oriented and well organized, and must be able to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Sew clothing and other items while maintaining quality standards.
- Be able to cut, sew, and measure.
- Operate an embroidery machine
- Produce custom goods
- Be extremely detailed orientated and responsible for quality control of work preformed
- Comprehend customer specifications and design clothing and other items accordingly.
- Verify that all items meet customer specifications.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 40 per week
