This position is responsible for organizing, overseeing, and protecting patient health information and maintaining quality, accuracy, accessibility and security of PHI. The position monitors compliance with standards set for the department and ensure that goals and objectives for timely processing of records requests are met. This position is responsible for training of staff regarding medical records management and monitors related compliance with relevant policies and procedures, HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules, 42 CFR Part 2 Confidentiality Rules, and will be supervised by the Director of Quality.
