Under the direction of the EVS Director, the EVS Supervisor works collaboratively with the EVS Director, other EVS Supervisors, Team Leaders and Staff to assure the daily assignments and goals are met.  This position will primarily work on the hospital floors and patient rooms and handle the day to day activities, wipe samples, and training needs of the departments;  tracking of supply use, patient discharge information (Epic bed board as needed), linen utilization, new hire onboarding, and staff scheduling.  This role will communicate with hospital staff, EVS staff, visitors, and patients on a regular basis. In addition, this role provides support to staff in the form of ongoing training and competency development. This role maintains adequate supply levels through ordering and par level assessment. This role performs quality assurance monitoring and room cleanliness checks and communicates results to various chains of commands.

• Ensures efficiency of operation through appropriated staffing assignments and quality checks.

• Provides ongoing training on policies, cleaning practices, and onboarding education

• Daily rounds of patient rooms, offices and common areas of the hospital

• Provides onboarding training and tracking/evaluating staff competencies.

• Directs cleaning assignments and helps to ensure office and storage areas are orderly and stocked.

• Works with office coordinator to make sure inventory, stock, and room carts are prepared for each shift

• Generates work orders for Facilities and/or EVS needs.
