Reporting to the Director of Title III, the Assistant Director of Retention is a grant position that is funded through 2028. This position provides oversight and guidance in program planning, coordination, and early monitoring of students to increase student retention. The Assistant Director of Retention will be responsible for developing data driven strategies in support of the campus wide retention plan and in supporting faculty and staff in developing approaches that are appropriate for each department.
The position will be responsible using institutional and national trends to identify student populations which are at higher risk of not persisting and in supporting the development of specific plans to address these challenges. Collaboration with institutional research, student success, faculty and support staff is essential.
Education:
Required: Bachelor’s degree.
Preferred: Masters’ degree in an appropriate discipline, such as higher education, student development, data analytics or a related field.
Experience:
Required: Experience in working at an educational institution in a role related to student success and/or student retention.
Preferred: Three years of experience in utilizing data to support student retention.
