Shaw Media is looking for a data-oriented and digital-minded team player! The Audience Retention Specialist utilizes data to identify key audience retention opportunities across Shaw Media’s digital consumer products. This includes aggregating data from multiple sources, using data to present findings concisely, and providing information that contributes to digital revenue growth decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data aggregation, strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate findings effectively.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Understand Shaw Media audiences and trends, developing clear actionable insights to continue business growth by retaining customers.
• Develop, implement, and test KPIs to align with Shaw Media goals across audience growth, audience engagement, and revenue growth.
• Design, build, and maintain key reports and dashboards.
• Design and lead on longer-term projects, such as implementing new processes or tools to support the efficiency of data analysis across the team.
• Train team members on data analysis, reporting tools, and best practices.
• Participate in remote and in-person meetings with supervisor, coworkers, and the Shaw Media team.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in data analytics, marketing, or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of experience in data analytics or related field.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desired Skills and Experience:
• Experience with quantitative analytics.
• Familiarity with key concepts of A/B test design and analysis.
• Ability to adapt to recurring tasks and ad-hoc needs of the team.
• Proven ability to utilize available data and interpret it for meaningful action items.
• Knowledge of GA4 and/or other website traffic software.
• Results-oriented and creative problem solver.
• Experience with Python coding language or similar preferred but not required.
• Experience in the news and media industry is valued, but not required.
