CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPERVISOR – West Olympia Branch

Timberland Bank is seeking an experienced Customer Service Supervisor to support and work with an awesome team at our Poulsbo branch. In this job role you will be working side by side with the Branch Operations Manager with staff scheduling, transaction oversight and/ or approval within assigned limits, training, promoting and monitoring customer service excellence.

• Location: West Olympia
• FLSA: This is a non-exempt position.
• Work Hours & Days: Monday – Thursday 8:00 – 5:30, Friday 8:00 – 5:30 and Saturday *8:45 - 12:15.
• Pay Range: $21.00 - $25.25 / Benefits: Medical, Dental and Vision, 401K.)

This position will provide supervisory assistant to assist the Branch Operations Manager in managing, supporting and guiding the Branch Operations Team in carrying out the daily customer service and sales functions of the branch while ensuring the delivery of Timberland Bank’s First-Class service to the community.

Customer Service Supervisor Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service experience.
• Cash handling experience.
• Six months of branch experience.
• Proven, consistent delivery of excellent customer service.
• Routinely sells/ cross-sells Timberland products.
• Ability to train new Customer Service Representatives.
• Ability to inspire team cohesiveness.
• Excellent listening skills.
• Consistent accuracy and balancing history.
• Problem solving aptitude.
• Thorough knowledge of Timberland Bank products and services.
• Functional understanding of bank policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance that affects branch operations.
• Due to the client contact nature of the position, above average professional demeanor and appearance.
• Good interpersonal skills and aptitude and desire to provide positive leadership.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to exercise good judgement in making decisions.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate as a team member.

• Motivates, mentors, manages and monitors branch operations staff.
• Motivates customer services staff to offer Timberland Bank products and services as part of customer service delivery.

Essential Duties:

• Oversees the daily operations of the CSR area.
• Scheduling Customer Service Representatives.
• Serves as backup for internal branch certifications.
• Serves as backup for the New Accounts Representative.
• Mentors new Customer Service Representatives by reviewing their work and customer service delivery.
• Assists in leading weekly staff meetings.
• Provides transaction approvals within assigned limits.
• Coaches CSRs to cross-sell bank products and services.
• Assists in rectifying difficult customer service issues.
• Communicates challenges and successes with Branch Operations Manager.

Physical Demands:

• In this position work may involve the constant use of computer screens, reading of reports, and sitting throughout the day.
• Ability to operate a computer keyboard, multi-line telephone, photocopier, scanner and facsimile which often requires dexterity of hands and fingers with repetitive wrist and hand motion.
• Typically sitting at a desk or table; intermittently standing, stooping, bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching to file materials.
• Occasional lifting 10-20 lbs. (e.g., files, boxes, handouts).
