Summary:
Provides strategic insight and direction for underwriting organization for the retail business segment. Primary industry classifications include petroleum marketers, convenience stores, general retail, grocery stores and restaurants among others. Leads, researches, and coordinates the ownership, execution, strategy, administration, and development of products and programs at enterprise level for the retail business segment. Creates and communicates best practices and underwriting guidance to all of EMC. Develops new product ideas, reviews existing and drafts new coverage language. Evaluates the cost and benefit of market opportunities and product initiatives and recommends actions based on evaluation, including identifying product improvements for complex products. Acts as a strategic partner for branches and offers guidance on complex underwriting issues and strategy. Evaluates complex underwriting risks and provides analysis and guidance to all branch underwriting staff in determining the acceptability of business.
