Being a Customer Segment Manager provides information to sales and marketing teams to assist in the promotion of the organization's goods and/or services. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Customer Segment Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Customer Segment Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
This position can be located at any of our offices within the HUB Mountain States region (Idaho, Montana, Wyoming).
The ISG Segment Lead is responsible for the administration and operation of the assigned ISG Support Staff; supervising assigned personnel and the direct handling and servicing of ISG accounts in accordance with the practices, policies and procedures of the Company. This role requires an individual who is professional and who displays the drive, determination, and self-motivation to lead a team of Account Managers while handling a book of commercial accounts.

All duties of ISG Account Manager
Work with ISG Team Lead to Supervise and direct department personnel (Account Managers and PSAs) including training, motivation, and performance appraisals.
Work with ISG Team Lead to develop performance management and career paths/succession planning.
Work in conjunction with the ISG Team Lead in the hiring or dismissal of personnel within the ISG department.
Provide technical knowledge and expertise to department personnel regarding appropriate coverage.
Support and mentor Non-Automated ISG team members as related to daily functions of ISG Account Management
Act as a liaison between clients and insurance carriers to resolve escalated complex service issues that require policy interpretation and experience-based judgment to resolve. May also negotiate with underwriters and carriers.
Pursue professional studies and maintain familiarity with trends in the industry and new insurance products.
Improve/refine professional and supervisory skills through continuing education.
Establish and maintain good working relationships with company sales representatives, underwriting and claim representatives.
Other responsibilities as assigned by ISG Team Lead
MUST hold current Property/Casualty License in resident state; includes maintaining by meeting all continuation education and other requirements
Must have CISR designation and one of the following: CIC, CPCU or equivalent designation
Work and Education Requirement
5 years’ insurance experience preferred
High school diploma or equivalency; some college preferred
Supervisory experience
Thorough knowledge of Commercial Lines coverages and markets
Experience with agency management system
Experience with Microsoft Office products
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, listening, communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
