Job Overview:
We are seeking a friendly and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our office, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our front desk. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical administrative support and possess knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming demeanor
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and assist with patient inquiries
- Verify insurance information and collect necessary patient data
- Maintain patient records accurately and confidentially
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Process payments in the clinic for office visits and surgery
- Assist with general administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Working with management and billing company to communicate to patients about their balance and obtaining payment.
- Answering phones on surgery day at seconardy location, assisting with patient turnover, and cleaning of the OR and facility.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical receptionist or administrative support role is preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology is required
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independantly and with other staff members.
