Part Time Employees (when vested) will accrue Paid Time Off based on an hourly formula.
The primary responsibility of the Yard Clerk position is to provide excellent customer service by carrying, lifting, moving store merchandise and building materials both in the Receiving Yard and from delivery trucks.
The Yard Clerk is expected to:
Positively represent Brentwood Ace Hardware through excellent Customer Service
Present a pleasant and professional appearance based on Ace standards
Have a willingness to learn
Fill propane tanks, both portable and in RVs
Cut different pipe materials (PVC, galvanized, etc)
Thread metal pipe
Cut smaller quantities of lumber
Provide assistance with moving larger, heavier items such as bags of sand, cement, rock, landscape materials, etc
Learn to operate a fork lift and pallet jack
Assemble BBQs and patio furniture
Help to keep the yard and Receiving areas clean and free from hazards
Complete additional odd jobs as requested by Management
Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
Ability to stand and move for an extended period of time
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Ability to lift larger boxes and merchandise items
Background check with Credential Check a Professional screening service
Drug test; hair and urine within 24 hours of job offering
