Customer Service Director directs and oversees all aspects of an organization's customer service policies, objectives, and initiatives. Develops service level standards focused on reducing response times and providing high customer satisfaction. Being a Customer Service Director establishes policies and procedures that produce high quality customer service delivery and that reflect industry best practices. Implements systems to capture and report on service metrics, including any customer feedback or trends in product or service issues. Additionally, Customer Service Director manages resource decision-making and planning. Aligns customer service activities and initiatives to support and enhance the objectives of the organization. Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Customer Service Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Customer Service Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Operations Manager-Director / Plant Manager

  • OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY:

    Responsible for the entire Amarillo laundry plant operations by directing and coordinating, in accordance with NHLS policies and procedures, the management of production plant operations departments (i.e., soil sort, production and transportation).

    Collectively work with Customer Service, Engineering, Transportation, and Administration departments to provide NHLS’s Clients with NHLS’s products and values.

    REPORTS TO: General Manager

    FLSA STATUS: Exempt

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ensures daily/weekly/monthly production, quality, and quantity requirements are met within budgetary standards and best standard laundry practices.
    • Monitors, analyzes, and approves plant operation department operating costs, staff, and productivity by daily and monthly review of production reports, financial statements, and balance sheets.
    • Participates in the capital and operating budgets reports by gathering needed data, direct and indirect costs, to substantiate recommendations to GM and Management Company.
    • Supervises Transportation Manager, Plant Operations Supervisors and indirectly supervises plant workers, drivers, mechanics, janitorial and equipment operators.
    • Prepares and conducts all performance reviews for all direct reports.
    • Assists other NHLS Managers in the development, training, implementation, and communication of policies and procedures necessary for the efficient operations.
    • Accountable for Safety Committee and safety compliance, including but not limited to JCAHO, BBPE, HAZCOM and industry certifications

    BUDGETARY/PAYROLL

    • Manages and purchases all department supplies.
    • Approves pending timesheets from timely Payroll processing.

    OPERATIONS

    • Monitor established indicators for laundry operation, such as:
    • Productivity: Pounds per operator hour.
    • Efficiency of Wash: Percent of rewash, stain
    • Inventory: Purchases/Discards/Mending
    • Equipment: Equipment down time
    • In the interim absence of the GM, the Operations Manager assumes responsibilities of General Manager.
    • Performs related and other duties as assigned or necessary.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be able to read and write English.
    • Track record of career progression in a commercial laundry environment.
    • Accuracy and attention to detail are critical qualifications.
    • Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
    • Excellent communication, organizational, leadership skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently.

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferred or at least a minimum of an associate degree in Business Administration, plus at least five (5) years of work-related experience.
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.

    PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions of this job.

    • Must be able to lift weights up to 30 pounds at times.
    • Must be able to sit/stand/walk the entire shift (8-10 hours shifts).
    • Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
