Customer Service Supervisor supervises a staff of customer service representatives that respond to requests from customers by phone, e-mail, or chat. Manages the daily workload to ensure required service volume and quality levels are attained. Being a Customer Service Supervisor trains and coaches staff in standard policies, procedures, and best practices. Identifies opportunities for operational improvements and implements solutions. May provide direct customer support for complicated or critical issues. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Customer Service Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Customer Service Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     We are currently seeking full-time Customer Service Supervisor Desk Concierge to service the Front Desk/Pro Shop at Oxford Athletic Club for daytime, evening and weekend shifts. The main duties of this role are to greet members and their guests with a smile while maintaining a dynamic and energetic personality. We want someone who can engage with members and ensure their experience at our club is a positive one! while monitoring club traffic. Work to maintain a smooth and efficient execution of all Front Desk functions and have a thorough understanding of all club procedures, functions, programs and facilities. Collaborate and create a friendly, inviting atmosphere to assist in building member retention and to welcome prospective members. Assist in the day-to-day Pro Shop operations.

    Job Duties:

    • Outstanding Customer Service Skills.
    • Exhibits a “Member Friendly and Member First” mentality and ‘actions without excuses”.
    • Meet and greet every member entering and exiting the Club with a smile and warm welcome, answer incoming phone calls. Assist membership with any admin needs.
    • Provide a high level of personalized attention to members. Staff on duty should be constantly monitoring the area and making eye contact with members.
    • Manages tennis court schedule, tracks court availability and charges appropriate fees.
    • Must have the energy to stand for up to 6-8 hours per shift to keep up with our club.
    • Monitors check-in process to insure only active members and their guests are accessing the facility.
    • Assists with and promotes special events and programs to the Club Membership by keeping current with Club events, flyers, and meeting information. Drive initiatives and campaigns.
    • Resolves any Member issues through effective customer service skills and by referring issue to the appropriate manager.
    • Connect with managers to share important department information.
    • Enforces current OAC Club and departmental policies by keeping current with changes and utilizing effective communication skills.
    • Performs first aid and emergency responder techniques by maintaining CPR/AED and First Aid Certification. Must be aware of appropriate emergency response.
    • Operate computer POS with facility operations software.
    • Supports supervisors and fellow staff in providing quality program and services to our members as well as incorporating an atmosphere where we are constantly striving to exceed one’s expectations.
    • Responsible for scheduling employees.
    • Responsible for Training the front desk employees.

    Education & Training:

    • High School degree or GED
    • Current CPR and First Aid Certification preferred
    • Basic computer knowledge
    • In-house training on policies and procedure as provided by management

    Work Experience:

    Retail or customer service-based employment

    Skills & Abilities:

    Needs to be energetic, enthusiastic and pleasant. Must be able to work independently and possess an outgoing personality. Maintain a professional manner, discretion, and appearance. Excellent verbal / written communication and promotional skills are necessary. Grasp new and existing procedures while working in a potentially stressful environment.
